Don’t Mess With Texas…Startups

In conjunction with the SMU + GSV Mission Summit, the finals for the 1st Annual Texas Cup will be held May 22-24th at the SMU Campus.

What is the Texas Cup? This is the first GSV Pitch Competition for Texas University Students! We believe the great businesses of the future will have the ambition of a for-profit and the heart of a non-profit.

That’s why the Texas Cup will feature Mission Corporations, which are businesses that combine “profits” and “purpose” to create impact that is scalable and sustainable.

Over 100 teams of entrepreneurs went through several rounds to make it to the final 12. Of those final 12, our panel of judges will select 3 finalists to pitch for the prize Wednesday evening, May 24th. 

Prior to their final pitches, each finalist will receive expert coaching from the world’s top vocal coach, Roger Love (check him out here).
